Admissions Process
We are excited that you would like to get to know us a bit better! Our Admissions and Tour process is a vital component of the OCNS approach. We seek to create an environment for families that upholds our values of diversity, community and equity; and of course, PLAY.
The new school year (Sept.-June) application is released in February, typically the day of Open House. Applications submitted before February 23rd will be considered during the initial placement period, for the following year. Placement and waitlist notifications are sent by the end of March/early April, after our annual Open House the first Saturday in February. Applications submitted after March 1st will be placed on a wait list, play dates are not guaranteed for anyone who applied after the March 1st deadline. Our wait list renews each year, as such requiring a new application to be submitted every academic year you are seeking admission. The application fee is only paid once per child. If you applied last year and were waitlisted and are seeking placement again, you must submit a new application for consideration.

Step 2: Submit an application after touring or attending Open House, using the button below. *An $87 application fee must be submitted in order for your application to be processed.
Step 3: During enrollment season (Feb-Mar) we will be in contact to extend a “Play Date” invite to families who have applied before March 1st. Play dates typically happen between mid February and mid-April. Should a space become available mid-year we will look to our waitlist to fill the spot. In an effort to keep class communities symbiotic and balances we will invite wait list applicants to Play Date in an effort to fill the opening while maintaining classroom balance and cohesion.

Little Explorers applicants:
As this is a caregiver and me program, admission operates differently than our core classes. We do not utilize play dates for Little Explorers and will fill spots on a rolling basis if any become available. A non-refundable $32 fee must be submitted to secure enrollment or be placed on the waitlist if there is no current availability.

If you are interested in learning more about us and would like to tour OCNS please fill out our Tour Request form using the button below. You will be emailed a Sign Up Genius link with tour dates available. Tours are available on first come first served basis.
Tours are offered on a limited basis through the end of January. We do our best to offer as many tours as possible, though we cannot guarantee a tour will be available upon request. If you are unable to attend a tour we invite you to our Open House, held annually the first Saturday in February. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
Please note that all OCNS adult participants are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of the COVID-19 vaccine must be presented at the time of arrival for the tour. Any adult unable to present proof of vaccination will have their tour canceled.
